Making a Claim

  1. Compensation Grid
  2. Appeals
  3. List of Recalled Products

JANUARY 19, 2012 - UPDATE:

The Courts (ON, QC and SK) have all approved the following:

  1. The pro-rata distribution of the funds to all approved claimants
  2. The subrogated claim payments to the provincial health care authorities

The Courts must next confirm their respective approvals in matching written and duly signed Court Orders. Once the 3 Court Orders are issued and delivered to our office, we will immediately begin printing and mailing all cheques.

We will post a special notice on the day that the cheques are mailed. Possibly 2-3 more weeks left.

Cheques will be mailed regular mail, in a letter sized white envelope, to the address that we have on file for each approved claimant.

PRO RATA DISCOUNT TO ENTITLEMENTS: Due to the high volume and value of claims approved for payment from the fixed settlement trust fund, a pro-rata deduction must be applied. Practically speaking, this means that every approved claimant will be paid slightly less than the amount indicated in the Decision Letter. No more than 10% is expected to be ordered deducted from the amount stated in the Decision Letter.

DECISION LETTERS: If you successfully filed a claim, you should have received our Decision Letter by regular mail in the period starting in the fall of 2009 and ending in August 2010.

The deadline for making a claim expired on November 2, 2009. If you failed to successfully make a claim before this date, payment cannot be made to you or any person that you represent, no exceptions.
